The lifestyle and mentality between Singaporeans and Hk people are so different.
Over here, people are on their own and they feed their parents instead of the other way round.
They don't ask their parents for money once they started working. They have to work really hard to get what they want.

In Singapore, I think the life is so much more relax that we are all taking it for granted. Today some uncle told me about his tale and story on how he've met his wife and everything.
Back in the olden days, when he was working in this factory, he's breakfast everyday was 2 Polo baos and plain water when he reaches work. And I've met his wife and daughter. His wife is .. i don't know whether to describe her as simple-minded and cute or got just plain stupid. And he loves and pamper her like crazy.
He doesn't complain a word on his wife spending ways and earns money just to let her lead a good life and spend on whatever she likes. He is super thrifty but lets his wife use his money as she wishes, as long as she's happy.

There was once when he invested in stocks and lost all his money and he never breathe a word about it to his family because he doesn't want his wife to know that they are not in a very good financial condition and make her worry. He worked double hard to earn back the money on his own. This is what I call a good guy which, is one in a million.
